Coat Condition: 

Our holistic approach is to not put the pet in any undue stress do to severe matting, we believe in humanity over vaniety for the pets in our care.  Not all pets are tolerant of the dryer, we will take all the steps necessary to get them fully dried as long as the pet is not in distress.    


The stylist has the discretion to discontinue any grooming appointment at any time if the pet is too distressed or acting out beyond means to keep them and others safe.

Late Policy:

If you are running late for your appointment, please let us know. More than 20 minutes late will result in a fee of half the grooming price and rescheduling of the appointment, unless stylists have the time available to accept pet. 

Cancellation Policy:

If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, we require 24 hours notice so that we can reschedule the time.  Two rescheduled appointments we will require the next appointment to be paid for in full prior to the appointment.  

No Show: 

2 missed appointment will require future appointments to be paid in full. 


All pets must be current on Rabies required by Federal Law,  have flea and tick prevention regularly maintained.  Other vaccines are owners discretion and will not hold Grooming By The Sea responsible for any health conditions.

We take pride in the care and comfort of your pet by offering the most stress free environment as possible.  The individual appointments are to ensure that each pet gets the highest quality care, one on one that they deserve. When customers show up late or arrive late for pick up, this pushes into the next appointment which causes friction inside the shop.   We are not a boarding facility, we strive to keep the noise levels down to ensure a calm atmosphere for the pets.  We want to ensure that each appointment has the allotted time and greatly appreciate promptness and your understanding in how our shop operates.


We are a licensed secondary career school in New Hampshire, training new groomers from all over.  The first of each month new students will begin their new career as a groomer.  Students will be assisting stylist mentors on pets under supervision.  We appreciate your continued support as we watch the new stylist progress through their hours.  Discount prices are available for advanced student groom pets. Ask us about signing your pet up.  If you would prefer to have a professional groomer only, please let us know in advanced.

Holidays and Vacation: Vacation time will be scheduled well in advance

Severe Weather: In the case of any severe weather (such as snow, sleet, nor’easters, hurricanes, thunderstorms with heavy winds, rain, etc)  the shop will cancel/reschedule appointments at our discretion for the safety of customers and their pets the night before or as weather related closings begin to occur.  Thank you for your understanding and cooperation in these situations.
